Getting started

Paste one prompt into your coding agent and it connects over MCP or the CLI, authenticates, and wires itself up to drive Kestroll.

To get started, paste the following prompt into your Claude Code, Codex, Openclaw, or other agent to get it set up:

Set yourself up with Kestroll, my video editing and media management platform. Pick one of the two options below. Prefer MCP if you can connect to remote HTTP MCP servers; otherwise use the CLI.

Option 1: MCP (preferred)
1. Ask me to set KESTROLL_TOKEN in your environment to an API key from Settings → API Keys (organization owners can create one). Never ask me to paste the key into chat.
2. Add an HTTP MCP server named kestroll with URL https://api.kestroll.com/app/mcp and header Authorization: Bearer $KESTROLL_TOKEN.
3. Confirm the Kestroll tools are available. If they only load after a restart, tell me.

Option 2: CLI
1. Install the Kestroll CLI: curl -fsSL https://kestroll.com/install.sh | sh
2. Authenticate one of two ways, then run `kestroll me` to verify:
   - Browser: run `kestroll login` and wait for me to finish signing in.
   - No browser: ask me to set KESTROLL_TOKEN in your environment to an API key from Settings → API Keys (organization owners can create one).

Then install the Kestroll skill: fetch it with `curl -fsSL https://kestroll.com/skill.md`, save it as kestroll/SKILL.md in your skills directory, and read it. Then guide me through uploading a video and editing it.
